The Northern Marmara Highway Project, which will facilitate the transportation of Istanbul to the surrounding provinces and other regions, was implemented by the General Directorate of Highways of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, with the build-operate-transfer model.
The project, which starts from the Kınalı location in the west of Istanbul, passes through Kocaeli and Sakarya from the north and ends near the Akyazı district of Sakarya, consists of 3 main parts.
